introduction

This website is a making-of of our near-lifesize Bart Simpson.

My friends and I had this idea when we were brainstorming what poster we could make for my sisters "Abitur". Abitur are the final exams in highschool in Germany, and friends and families often make posters for the students, wishing them good luck and a good exam. It's a very nice tradition, and because I am not really good at painting or such, we thought, "why not build a figure instead?".

At first, we thought about building me in lifesize, with a thumbs up, but we came to the conclusion this would be overly complicated. So we settled for Bart, because my sisters loves the Simpsons nearly as much as I do - we always have a quote from the show handy for each situation.

Then we built him, using this picture as a blue print:
